Either the world changes tomorrow or Apple just sells a new product. In any event, there has been much buzz about Apple’s new tablet. There is a fun post on Business Insider looking at how iPads are making their way to customers (Where In The World Is My iPad? Mar 31). Here is the synopsis:
- iPads are being shipped from Foxconn factory in Shenzhen, China.
- From there, the iPads destined for the U.S. fly to Anchorage, Alaska.
- Finally, they head to Lousiville, Kentucky.
- After that, UPS explains that your tablet is dealing with “UPS Internal Activity”. In other words, it’s right in your backyard, but Apple won’t let them give it to you until Saturday.
The cool part is that they have pieced this together from what customers have Tweeted as they have tracked their package from UPS.
